Holly is a dedicated Athletic Therapist who specializes in treating athletic individuals. Her approach involves conducting thorough evaluations of the body to identify the root cause of injuries or dysfunctions, and she implements effective and individualized rehabilitation programs to meet her patients’ needs. With her dynamic approach, Holly helps her patients improve their athletic performance, regain confidence post-injury, and empowers them throughout their rehabilitation process.
Growing up, Holly was a high performance volleyball athlete. She has utilized her experience as an athlete and through injury to better understand and relate to her patients.
While completing her Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree of Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College, Holly played varsity volleyball for multiple years. As a 4th year student, she worked with the Varsity Women’s Soccer and Volleyball teams at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she further expanded her skills and knowledge as a therapist both on the field and in the clinic.
Since becoming a Certified Athletic Therapist, Holly has worked with the student-athlete population at Appleby College in Oakville, and has worked extensively with the Canadian Women’s and Men’s National Field Hockey Programs in the Greater Toronto Area. She has also gained experience working with varsity-level rugby teams and other high-performance athletes across many sports, including ice hockey, lacrosse, football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, figure skating, tennis, and more.
As an Athletic Therapist with experience both on-field and in a clinical setting, she has been able to provide support to her patients from the moment of injury all the way through clinical assessment, rehabilitation, and a full return to sport.
Her skill set as an athletic therapist includes injury assessment, hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise, effective athletic and prophylactic taping techniques (such as Kinesiology Tape), Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), and Dry Cupping.
