Chris obtained his Bachelor of Arts (BA), Honors Specialization in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, in 2013. He went on to complete his Masters in Physiotherapy (MScPT) at Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2018, where he played Varsity basketball winning silver in the British University & College Sport Championships. As part of his clinical Masters degree, he completed a dissertation in Physical Rehabilitation Interventions for Sport-Related Post-Concussion Syndrome in Youth and Adolescents Athletes, and is passionate about all things sport concussion, having taken numerous post-graduate courses in concussion management.
His extensive knowledge of biomechanics and sport-related injuries, enables him to rehabilitate his patients to perform at higher than pre-injury level, with a continued focus on injury prevention. He’s had the privilege of working with many elite amateur and professional athletes, including the Canadian Senior Men’s National Soccer Team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2023.
He has additional training in vestibular rehabilitation, acupuncture and dry needling, and STOTT Pilates Matwork. He is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Carleton University. His passion for education and the physiotherapy profession drives him to create positive experiences for students as a Clinical Instructor for the University of Toronto, and as a contributor at the annual University of Toronto Sports Medicine Conference.
When he’s not treating patients, Chris enjoys playing basketball, golf, watching football, and travelling – having lived in New Zealand and Scotland.
